Welcome to INFSCI 1004/TELCOM 2000
Welcome to Introduction to Telecommunications at Pitt! This blog is a community resource. I will be using it to post items related to this course. Please add it to your blog aggregator.

The companion blog for this is Telecommunications Industry and Regulation. I (and my co-authors) use this blog to post items of interest that occur in the telecommunications industry. Please feel free to comment. Please also add this to your blog aggregator(s).

In case you are unaware of them, blog aggregators are web-based tools that summarize blog postings that you are following. The two that I use are "My Yahoo" and "Pluck". There are many others for you to choose from.

My Yahoo requires a (free) Yahoo account and allows you to create a set of web pages that summarize the blogs that you are following. While this lets you create a customized information resource, it is not very information-dense. Pluck is a web-based browser add-in that allows you to view a list of blogs in a pane on the browser. It requires a (free) account and a download of software. What I like about Pluck is that it provides denser information and it is portable across multiple computers (which is important to me). Other similar blog aggregators that I have tried are local to the computer, which causes me problems when I switch computers.
